The Nothing Phone 3 leaks reveal a bold, asymmetrical design, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, 50MP triple camera setup, and a 5300mAh battery. Here’s everything we know about its specs and price.
While working late one night, a team member shared a leaked image of the upcoming Nothing Phone 3. At first glance, it was hard to believe it was real. The design looked chaotic and entirely unexpected. Initially, it seemed like a fake render, but as it turned out, this was the actual look of the Nothing Phone 3 in both black and white variants.
The phone features a premium combination of glass and metal, but the back panel design is highly unconventional. The camera lenses appear randomly placed, lacking a defined camera module. The symmetry that characterized previous Nothing models is completely gone. Adding to the surprise, the Glyph lighting system—one of the brand’s signature elements—has been removed.
In its place is the new Glyph Matrix, which will offer functional capabilities. It’s expected to display information such as clocks, timers, music visualizations, text notifications, and even caller identification. A button is also present on the rear, though its purpose remains unknown. The red LED indicator from previous models has also been removed.
Despite these changes, wireless charging is still expected to be supported through G2 technology. The coil may simply be hidden, potentially to conceal magnets inside. However, the lack of symmetry in how these elements are arranged may leave some longtime fans disappointed.
Looking back, the Nothing Phone 1 offered a clean, visually appealing design. Phone 2 carried that forward with some refinements. In contrast, the Phone 3’s new look feels less intentional and more experimental. While it’s certainly unique, it strays from the minimalistic identity Nothing has become known for. Yet there’s hope that hands-on use may change initial impressions.
Specifications and Performance
Nothing has officially confirmed that the Phone 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor—already seen in models like the iQOO Neo 10 and Poco F7. Based on benchmark scores, the chipset is capable of hitting around 2 million points, although that performance is typically achieved with UFS 4.0 storage.
There’s uncertainty over which storage standard Nothing will use. Possibilities include UFS 3.1 or even UFS 2.2, which could affect real-world performance. The leaked Geekbench listing confirms the phone will come with up to 16GB of RAM.
Interestingly, the device was shown running Android 15 in a recent screenshot. It’s unclear whether the final product will launch with Android 15 or Android 16. Regardless, Nothing has committed to 5 years of Android OS updates and 7 years of security patches, a reassuring promise for long-term users.
AI enhancements and improvements to the brand’s Essential Space feature are also expected, adding more smart functionality to the phone’s software experience.
Battery and Charging
The Phone 3 will likely be powered by a 5300mAh battery with 65W fast wired charging support. Wireless charging is expected through G2 technology, and the company may also introduce magnetic accessories compatible with the device.
Camera System
The camera setup includes a 50MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, located close to the phone’s edge. Alongside it will be 50MP main and ultra-wide sensors, as well as a 50MP front-facing camera.
Camera samples released by Nothing show promising results. The periscope lens allows for macro shots from as close as 10 centimeters, delivering crisp and detailed images. All four cameras are expected to support 4K video recording at 60fps, a feature that was missing in previous models like the Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro.
Display and Build
The phone will feature a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution. Being a flagship device, it’s expected to include Gorilla Glass protection, though the specific version hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Connectivity features should include eSIM support, NFC, and a fast USB Type-C port, all of which are becoming essential for premium smartphones.
Expected Pricing and Market Position
CEO Carl Pei has stated that the Nothing Phone 3 will be priced around £800 in the UK. In the Indian market, this is likely to translate to a price range of ₹50,000 to ₹60,000.
At this price point, the Phone 3 will face stiff competition. The iQOO 13 will appeal to performance-focused users, the OnePlus 13R offers a sleek compact design, and the upcoming Vivo X200 FE promises strong camera capabilities.
Nothing is known for its unique software and design experience. However, the drastic design shift in Phone 3 might divide opinions among users and tech enthusiasts alike. Whether it will be well received remains to be seen.
Final Thoughts
The Nothing Phone 3 is shaping up to be one of the most distinctive smartphones of the year. It blends bold design changes with high-end internals and strong software support. While the new look may not appeal to everyone, the phone’s real-world performance and features might still win over users.
Only time will tell whether the unconventional design is a step forward or a misstep for the brand. The official launch will provide more clarity, but for now, the Nothing Phone 3 has certainly captured attention.
