Summer is here, and so is the wave of new smartphone launches. But hold on—before you rush to buy a phone this April, you might want to wait just a little longer. The month of May is bringing a flood of new smartphones across all price ranges. And some of these upcoming devices are generating a lot of buzz already. If you do find a great deal this month, sure, consider it. But otherwise, waiting for the May releases might be a smarter move.
To kick things off, there’s the Realme 14T, which is launching on April 25. Although that’s technically still April, it’s so close to May that it makes sense to include it. This phone comes with a massive 6000mAh battery, something we’re seeing more and more of lately. Battery sizes are now routinely hitting 6000, 6500—even up to 7000mAh, with some phones pushing past that. The Realme 14T is expected to fall in the ₹12,000–13,000 range, featuring the Dimensity 6300 processor, 6000mAh battery, and 45W fast charging.
Another phone generating a lot of interest is the CMF Phone 2 Pro, set to launch at the end of April on the 28th. It’ll feature the Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset and an AMOLED screen. Compared to the first CMF phone, this one is stepping up its camera game with a 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 50MP 2x telephoto lens. The battery, though, is 5000mAh—now considered small in today’s market. Still, it comes with Android 15 and Nothing OS pre-installed, which adds value.
Moving up in the price range, Motorola is on a roll. After launching phones like the Fusion and Stylus, they’re now set to release the Moto H60 Pro at the end of April. With a price between ₹25,000 to ₹30,000, the H60 Pro will offer a 50+13+50MP rear camera setup and a 32MP front camera. It’ll be powered by the Dimensity 8350, with an Antutu score of around 1.3 to 1.4 million. Expect good performance, a 6000mAh battery, and yes, an adapter in the box—something many phones skip these days. The CMF Phone 2 Pro will also come with a case and adapter, which is a nice touch.
Another interesting launch is the iQOO Neo 10, expected in early May. It will feature a flagship-level Dimensity 9400 processor, crossing 1.5 million on Antutu benchmarks. It could be priced around ₹81,000–₹128,000, depending on the variant, likely offering 12GB RAM and 256GB storage with UFS 4.1. You’ll also find a 6100mAh battery, 120W fast charging, and a solid camera setup.
Samsung isn’t far behind either. Following the M56, they’re launching the Galaxy F56—basically a rebranded version of the same phone, but in the F-series lineup and likely priced a bit lower. It’s powered by the Exynos 1480, features a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging, and starts with an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
Another anticipated release is the OnePlus Nord CE5. Packed with the Dimensity 8350 processor, this phone boasts a 6.7-inch OLED display, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage as base. It will also have UFS 4.0 and a massive 7100mAh battery with 80W charging. This is one of the phones that many are eagerly waiting for, expected to launch in the second or third week of May.
Following that, Poco is stepping in with the Poco F7 and F7 Pro, also scheduled for mid-May. These phones will feature a 6.83-inch OLED display, possibly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The base variant might come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The camera will offer a 50+8MP setup, and the battery is rumored to be over 7500mAh with 90W fast charging—impressive numbers by any standard.
In the ₹30,000 to ₹50,000 range, things get even more exciting. Realme is ready with the GT7 and GT7T, the successors to last year’s popular GT6 series. These phones are expected to bring top-tier performance with the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, a large 1.5K resolution display, and UFS 4.0 storage, with configurations going up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. They’ll also feature 100W charging and around a 7200mAh battery.
Also catching attention is the OnePlus 13T, expected to launch between the end of May and early June. It’s a compact flagship with an AMOLED display and an aspect ratio of 1.5:9. With a triple camera setup—50MP + 50MP + 8MP—it will pack a 6600mAh battery with 80W charging, all in a compact design. The price could land just below ₹50,000.
Then there’s Motorola’s flagship clamshell foldables. The Moto Razr 60 will feature a 6.7-inch internal screen and a 3.6-inch cover display. It’s expected to be powered by the Dimensity 7400X with options going up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Even with the small clamshell form factor, it packs a 6000mAh battery and 68W charging.
The Moto Razr 60 Ultra will take things up a notch with a slightly larger 6.96-inch internal display and a 4-inch cover display. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it will include a 4700mAh battery, dual 50MP rear cameras, and a 50MP front camera.
Lastly, all eyes are on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, launching on May 13. It’s expected to be one of the thinnest phones ever, featuring a 6.66-inch AMOLED display, 1256GB storage variant, and a smaller 3900mAh battery with 25W charging. The rear camera setup will include a massive 200MP sensor paired with a 12MP ultra-wide.
Another upcoming launch, still under wraps, is the Vivo X200 FE, which may also be named X200s in India. This phone will likely be camera-focused and is expected to arrive after launching in China.
So, if you’re planning to buy a new phone, it’s definitely worth waiting for May. Whether you’re into budget phones, mid-range performance beasts, or compact flagships, there’s something new coming for everyone.
